We will have three mid-week services in Advent (Dec. 2, 9 and 16) at 7:30 p.m. Wonderful recitals before each service begins at 7:00 p.m. Plan to come early to hear some great musicians.
Dec. 2 – Ardore and Floreat are a capella ensembles from the Moores School of Music at The University of Houston, conducted by Bridget Spiegel. They specialize in the music of 17th and 18th centuries.
Dec. 9 – Dian Zhang, violin, and Keith Weber, piano, perform “Sonata for Violin and Keyboard, BWV 1016” by Johann Sebastian Bach.
Dec. 16 – Greenbriar Consortium is an intrepid troupe made up exclusively of music professionals – largely from The Houston Symphony. They are gathered by oboist Anne Leek, and Salem is their performing home. They perform gratis for the love of chamber music.
