Remembering St. Francis of Assisi, lover of peace and nature, on Oct. 9 we will gather with Grace Episcopal for an Outdoor Eucharist and Blessing of the Animals celebration at 10:00 a.m. An individual blessing for each animal will be given during the celebration.
Dogs, cats or other mobile animals should be brought on a leash or in a carrier. If you have an aquarium or other pets that are difficult to transport, bring a picture of them. If you do not have a pet, but would like to come for the festivities, all are welcome.
This service is a wonderful way to remember St. Francis, reaffirm our stewardship of all of God’s creatures and enjoy and share the pets which are special parts of our lives.
There will be no worship service at 12:45 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 9.
Worship at 12:45 p.m. will resume on Sunday, Oct.16.
