A new school year, a new beginning. Whether our children are just starting kindergarten, entering high school or leaving the nest for college, our hearts and hopes go with them. Teacher, administrators and school workers also need our prayers.
Our time in worship on Sunday, Aug. 27, will feature a “Blessing of the School Year.” We ask that all students bring their backpacks with them to worship, and that teachers and administrators bring symbols of their work.
This is a unique time to remember that God is with us wherever we go and whatever we do! It is a time for our congregation to ask God’s blessing upon our students, teachers and all school workers as the new school year begins.
