BIM Sunday

his time of year, food banks are gearing up to feed thousands upon thousands of hungry people on Thanksgiving Day, and you can help! Many people don’t have the time during the busy holiday season to actually volunteer at a food pantry. While we may not all be able to cook or serve hot meals at a shelter, we can all help out simply by grocery shopping. Imagine how many families could be blessed with a delicious Thanksgiving dinner if everyone chipped in and bought a few items each time they went food shopping.

The next time you go shopping pick up an item or two and bring them with you to worship on Sunday, Oct.16.  All items will be given to Braes Interfaith Ministries, our local food pantry.  To help with your shopping, here’s a list of items:

BASICS:  Box Stuffing Mix, Instant Mashed Potatoes, Gravy Mix Packet, Macaroni, Cornbread Mix, Pie Crust Mix, Fruit Pie Filling, Canned Pumpkin, Canned Green Beans, Canned Corn, Canned Peas, Canned Yams.
