Salem is partnering with several other Reconciling in Christ congregations to have a float in Houston’s LGBT Pride Parade. To prepare for the event several work days are planned. The first will be on June 3 at 1 pm. (Please contact the church office for location of this event (office@salemhousston.org).
The second work day will be on June 22 at 4 pm in the parking lot of Zion Lutheran Church (2606 Beauchamp St., Houston, TX 77009) to construct the float. All hands are needed.
On June 23, meet at Zion by 1 p.m. to ride to the parade area together. There is no dress code, however, parade participants are encouraged to wear red and white and to bring a water bottle and sunscreen.
