Wednesdays in Lent

Our Lenten theme at Salem is “The Lord’s Prayer.”  The petitions of the Lord’s Prayer will build a framework to help us focus on prayer practices that are integral to this sacred season.  We will ponder ideas such as the holiness of Christ, the kingdom of God, divine will and forgiveness of sin.

Our Wednesday evening services will be an opportunity to focus on one petition each week.

March 5 – “Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name”

March 12 – “Your kingdom come”

March 19 – “Your will be done, on earth as in heaven”

March 26 – “Give us today our daily bread”

April 2 – “Forgive us our sins, as we forgive those who sin against us”

April 9 – “Save us from the time of trial, and deliver us from evil”

Lenten Suppers will be served in the Parish Hall from 6:00 to 6:45 p.m.

Director of Music Keith Weber will lead the discussion on “hymn-writing” from 6:45 to 7:15 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall.
